Santa Paula Unified School District has moved forward in my first four-year term by...

• Creating 160 new preschool seats for the first time

• Invested in literacy training that is showing our K-2 students are reading at grade level

• Investing in math training to address lagging student achievement

• Creating partnerships with Naval Base Ventura County, CSUCI, Ventura College, Labor Unions, Westminster Clinic, and VC Medical Center to give students career readiness opportunities

• Adding Wellness Centers to multiple sites for students' mental health

• Adding Outreach Specialists to improve attendance and parent engagement

• Revitalizing student engagement by instituting academies and project-based learning

• Garnering $7.4 Million for addressing school yard conditions

• Garnering millions in grants for student mental health, career pathways, early childhood education, community engagement and social services for families

• Labor peace with the first three-year contract in years
