Main Focus of the Next 4 Years

While we are moving in the right direction, we still have much work ahead of us.  Below are some of the priorities that I would be focusing on...

• Expanding career readiness especially in the trades, public service and business.

• Continue to expand early childhood education programs

• Continue to strengthen partnerships within the community and the county, especially with CSUCI, Ventura College, and local organizations and unions

• Rebuild Bryden Gym and Isbell Middle School with community input

• Continue to make the district more inclusive of our special populations, especially English Learner and Special Education students.

• Keep the district focused on first instruction in reading and math.

• Developing robust STEM opportunities for all students

• Continue to represent the voice of Santa Paula Unified at the county and state level.

• Respecting community voices and balancing the needs of our diverse student body.

• Working smarter and identifying specific intervention while using resources wisely.

• Bringing our budget back in balance without undoing the most needed programs.

• Creating a community school with social and health services for students and their caregivers.
